🎉💃🕺 Talk about a winning event! Our Back to School Dance “Get Your Game Face On!” was a total slam dunk. 🏀 Spartans danced, laughed, and scored memories with friends that will last all year long. 🏈⚾ #SpartanNation #VictoryDance #GameFaceOn
Science in Action 🚀🎳
Our 6th grade Spartan scientists explored velocity in a hands-on way using a bowling ball in the hallway! Students sat on either side of the hall while the ball started at rest, showing static friction with balanced forces.
When a student pushed it, the forces became unbalanced and the ball moved switching to dynamic friction. As the ball rolled past, students gave it a perpendicular push, which changed both its direction and speed.
And just like that… Tadah! 🎉 Velocity in action!
